Our Story
Tru-Tech Products, LLC began operations in November of 1985 in Casper, Wyoming. Our first product was the only commercial Air Compressor Dyno ever offered for sale to the air compressor remanufacturing industry. The Dyno was capable of testing one through four cylinder air compressors, providing full function testing and evaluation of remanufactured air compressors to confirm that the quality, functionality and performance was within factory specifications.
Bench mounted Valve Testing consoles and equipment soon followed, along with the engineering, design and development of automatic test fixtures for high speed, accurate testing of valves and controls used on semi trucks and related equipment. The company founder, Karl Bertagnole, had been working in the air compressor and air valve remanufacturing industry since 1976 and saw the need for commercial equipment to test compressors, air valves, and related equipment. Life cycle and longevity testing modules were then developed to compare, test and evaluate new emerging technologies, valves and equipment from the Pacific Rim that was being imported into the USA from Asian countries.
Tru-Tech Products, LLC. was established in 1985 to provide equipment to these industries. When the need became apparent that someone needed to take the lead on development and manufacturing of a replacement compressor for the Bendix KZ1087/4N compressor (later bought by Knorr Bremse and then discontinued by them) Tru-Tech Products, LLC. was instrumental in finding the solution.
